It would be nice if the 7-zip actions had individual properties for more of the options provided by 7-zip. The option I wanted was to split the archive being created into chunks (or “volumes” as 7-zip calls them). Luckily, I found another post here where a user wanted the headers encrypted (encrypt file names), which led me to the “Extra params at end” property, which I had never noticed before.
I’ve got the task splitting the archive as I wanted. However, manually finding command line parameters for supported utilities is not user-friendly and is error prone. It would be fantastic if the action’s dialog offered more of these less frequently used options.
