I cam across a situation that after completion with no erros, stage is green, but build is red as stage is not successful (although green). Not sure what is happening here:

This is indeed odd. Are the any errors listed on the event log page which coincide with this build?
Otherwise, if you can send us a copy of the build log (either by direct message or via email to support at finalbuilder.com), it may give us some clues as to what happened here.
Ideally, if you are able to reproduce with debug logging enabled on the server and send us a debug log, then that will give us full details of the build process.
