In build 1351, I did a search without case sensitivity, and all instances appeared to be located. The search list was cleared when I clicked Replace All, but only the items which matched the case of the search string were replaced.
Hi Tim,
Thanks for reporting this issue to us. Sadly at this stage we haven’t been able to reproduce the find/replace behaviour your seeing. If we have the case sensitive switch turned on, then case it treated as significant in both searching and replacing.
Would you be able to send us a test project and the steps you used to support for us?
Thank you.
I did not have the case sensitivity switch turned on, and you seem to be trying to reproduce the opposite problem. As I said, I had case sensitivity off, and Search worked as expected, finding all case combinations. But replace then acted as if case sensitivity was on, only matching the items with the same case as the search string. If you are unable to reproduce the issue this way round, I can probably put together a test case, but I have now made all the changes I needed to make in this project by using multiple different search strings.
Hi Tim,
Apologies that I wasn’t clearer in my previous post. We have tested with both case sensitivity on and off. The behaviour is as would be expected. To this end I believe we are using to very different test cases. Therefore I ask if you would be able to send a simple test project with the steps you used to reproduce the issue.
Thanks.
