Different E-mail format with latest version of FB 7.0

Hello,

we recently upgraded FinalBuilder 7 to the latest release (7.0.0.2056).

After doing so we noticed that our email notifications are different compared to the previous version (7.0.0.1939). Attached are two screen shots from the 2 different mails

We use the same project file on both version.

Question now, is there a possibility to have the same mail format with the latest version or is this change part of the mentioned bug fix ?

Best regards

Axel

Hi Axel

Your screenshots didn’t show up (I think there is a problem with attachments since we upgraded the forums). If the emails have .txt attachments then you may see a difference in how they are rendered by some email clients. The changes that were made were to do with RFC compliance which was needed to stop some email systems from blocking the emails sent by finalbuilder.

Hi Vincent,

thanks for the reply. We create a FinalBuild_Error_log.html at the end of your buildprocess. This file will be send to different persons.

With the previous version inside the received email the logfile was embedded into the email body.

With the new version the logfile is now "only" attached to the mail. This is not a problem, just a different handling then before.

Regarding the attaching screenshots, I tried it again and received an error message from the browser.

I just tested sending an html attachment to myself and it renders the same as before, with the html inline with the message. I’m using thunderbird, perhaps other email clients handle them differently.

As for the forums software, we’re investigating several issues with it which happened after the recent upgrade.
