Does FinalBuilder need to be installed on TFS Build Controller?

Hi,

 I have a machine that is a dedicated Build Controller (no Agent) which has a single Build Agent machine.

 The Build Controller only has TFS on it. I am getting an error when launching the build in Team Build:


TF215097: An error occurred while initializing a build for build definition \BuildEng\BE_Sandbox_Full: Cannot create unknown type '{clr-namespace:VSoftTechnologies.FinalBuilder.TFS.Workflow;assembly=FinalBuilder.TFS.Workflow}FinalBuilder'.

 

Does the Build Controller machine need FinalBuilder installed as well?

Yes it does, although you do not need to install a license key, it just needs to be installed so that our tfs support assemblies get installed. You may need to restart the tfs services after installing FinalBuilder before it will pick up the assemblies.
