(!) Edit protection: Allows to set 257 char long passwords but limits input to 256 when opening project again

I have the password but I can not open edit my projects!!!

Hi Slava,

I have reproduced the issue here. The Project Edit Password has a size limit placed on it, while the other entries do not. We are working on a fix for this and will let you know when that is available.

Everybody: WORKAROUND: I found that the password reset fields are not limited as the password prompt that pops up when trying to edit.

Jason, my password still didn’t fit using the above workaround. It was probably wrongfully entered by the responsible person. But I wondered if it could also be a bug in FB (7.0.0.2056), just in case. Our password was more than 256 characters long, including almost all possible special characters, like \ / ’ " < > ( ) [ ] { } | ^ etc. Maybe the length or one of the special chars was wrongfully escaped? I don’t need further assistance on this thread. Just an untested suggestion.

Hi Slava,

If this was the project you sent through to support. The password turned out to be only 80 or so characters.

Jason, thanks for pointing that out. Our guy managed to corrupt two projects and set the wrong password to another. He is going to get it… And thanks for support!
