Emailing script results

I've just installed Automise 3 and I am running through a tutorial and I have hit a very basic stumbling block.  The simple tutorial is having me create a script that returns errors in the Application log.  The script then sends me an email with the results.  My problem is we have SBS 2003 with Exchange 2003.  I have entered my SMTP Host and User ID but when I run the script, I get an error - Unable to Send Message (Connect) Connection Closed Gracefully.

What am I doing wrong?

If you have windows Firewall running make sure it is allowing Automise to communicate with the network. Also, AUTH Authentication needs to be enabled on Exchange, this is often not on by default.
