Where does the commit message come from, which repository type. Are you able to provide us with an example repository with the same text in a commit message so we can test it here. Were not doing any encoding of text that I’m aware of.

We were able to reproduce this here, so far we have fixed the issue with subversion and mercurial, we’ll go through all the repos and test & fix as required.
