Final Builder Not working

  • The Version and Build number of FinalBuilder - 8.0.0.2116
  • The Version and Service Pack level on Windows - Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard
  • The Version and Build number of any third party tools involved - None

I just installed it on a new server with latest final builder.

Issues -

1. Cant see any Actions listed
2. Wont shutdown properly
3. Cant open project that is created on FinalBuilder 7

This sounds like the installation failed for some reason. Potentially uninstall and reinstall FinalBuilder 8. Make sure to pause anti-virus when doing to make sure that it is not stopping the installer from working. It shouldn’t, but we have had false positives reported by AV before.

Can you confirm that the %PROGRAMDATA%\VSoft\FinalBuilder8 directory contains an ini file? If so would you be able to send this to support@finalbuilder.com?

Also can you confirm that there is %APPDATA%\FinalBuilder8 directory? If so please zip this directory and also send to support@finalbuilder.com.

If one or both of the above directories are not present then something has occurred with the installer. Also please confirm that .Net framework 4.0 and Powershell 2.0 or above are installed. These are critical to FinalBuilder 8 working correctly.

GUI of the application does not bring up any dialogue (neither when selecting ‘File\Save As…’ nor ‘Tools\Options’. It looks, the GUI does not work properly. Every menu selection is answered promptly with a small dialog ‘Please wait a moment…’. After the scroll bar reached 100% nothing happens. The creation and saving of projects is not possible.

Moreover there is no possibility to select any of the predefined actions in the left window (action list).

I am trying to contact Final Builder Support for this issue, but I couldnot reach them. Is there any customer care contact number in Germany where I can contact them directly.

Hi Challa Veena Madhuri,

Apologies that you were not able to get through to us. Please use the support@finalbuider.com email address to lodge a ticket.

Your issue does sound like an installation issue. Please make sure that any antivirus is not stopping the installation process. Also when reinstalling after this issue please make sure to uninstall and then clear out the FinalBuilder directory from Program Files, User Data and Program Data. These can also be located under a VSoft directory.
