FinalBuilder Embarcadero Edition - Delphi 2010 Compiler

Hi, I’m just wondering if it is possible to use Delphi 2010 compiler with FinalBuilder Embarcadero Edition. Thanks.

Hi Stepand,

The FinalBuilder Embarcadero version works only with the version of Delphi it comes with. If you would like to upgrade to gain support for 2010 please contact sales for discounted upgrade price.

Hi Jason, Thank you for prompt answer. We upgraded from Delphi 2010 to Delphi XE5. We plan to switch to Delphi XE5 during this year. Currently we are still using Delphi 2010. But we would like to use Finalbuilder right now. Is there a way? Thank you.

Hi Stepand,

Happy to help out. As it turns out the Embarcadero FinalBuilder versions only work with the version of Delphi/Rad Studio they were packaged with. If you would like to extend the supported versions of Delphi Compilers upgrading the version of FinalBuilder is the way forward.

Please feel free to contact sales for a discount on upgrading FinalBuilder.

Hi Jason, OK, we will contact them. Before that I have last question. It is related to floating license. We have 5 developers who will need to use FinalBuilder for building our projects (from command line) and only one of them needs to edit the FinalBuilder project. Is it one instance or 5 instances?

If the command line builds are being performed by the developers manually from the command line, then a floating license would be fine. If they are using it from a CI server product or other automation tool then their machines would be deemed build servers and they would each need their own named license.
