Being able to control window size and placement (for GUI automation) would help where targetting windows/controls by name does work well, that way you could at least know the postion/cordinates would be consistant when dealing with mouse movements/clicks etc. It could also be useful to build up a "dashboard" of sorts to display various applications on a single screen - just a thought...
