Hi there,

 

What is the best way to highlight some text and copy it to the clipboard?

Is this not possible? A running program display a result on screen, a number, always in the same position. I want to highlight that number, copy it to the clipboard, so that I can save it in a variable and use it within my automise project. Very straight-forward to do with AutoMate - is there no similar functionality in automise?

Hi,

You can use the ‘Wait for Window or Control’ action to select the text and then set the option ‘Store caption in variable’ on the ‘On Find Window’ tab. You don’t need to copy it to the clipboard to get it in an Automise variable.
