How can I use a variable in SQL Server Action?

I am using final builder 7.

I set my database name into a variable, %DatabaseName%. And I put the %DatabaseName into database field in a Set Access Mode action.

Then I got error:

Could not restore backup: Incorrect syntax near ‘%’

 

But if I directly put database name, it works fine. Is it possible to use a variable in SQL Server Action?

That looks like a bug, I’ll post here with a link to a new build a the fix later today.

Thanks for reply. Also, please check the Password and Username field of SQL actions, neither of them accepts variables.  But Server name field works fine.

I could only find one action where the password field didn’t expand variables, can you tell me which actions you tried where it didn’t expand the variables?
