Hello,
Is there a way to kick off Automise Jobs when some email is received in a SMTP inbox. Example: When an email is received in SMTP inbox with subject keywords "Run Job6", Job6.atmz is run?
Thanks

Hi,
No, we do not have any features to monitor an email inbox.

Paul.
Any Plans to add such a feature in future?
I’ve asked for this a few times, what I have resorted to is to use another product for scheduling and triggering scripts - try http://www.xstarter.com/ - it’s not as polished at Automise (which is fantastic in my books), but it gets the job done (including triggering based on incoming email). It also allows you to kick off an ATCMD script minimized (which can get annoying using the regular scheduler)…

TJ,
Thanks for the info. I will give that a try.
...And other uses that are reading this.. don't get me wrong.. I am not denying that Automise is fantastic. We absolutely love all the features (especially auto creation of detailed log files and export)
Hi Guys,
We’re hoping to add this feature to the next version of Automise, any ideas that you have on the types of things that you’d like to trigger an Automise project are welcome.
Regards,
Paul.
I added my 2c for some features hereback in the day - http://www.automise.com/Default.asp...p;aft=7413
But some triggers to kick off a script would be:
That should get you started ;-)
One other major pain that would be great if you could throw into AT4 would be return values when calling action lists and included projects - in particular the calling of external projects...
P.S. I don;t know why, but i never get any notifications of replies when posting - even though I have the event notifcations for the topic turned on... Anyone else have this issue?

In the order of importance, we would like the following...
1. POP3/IMAP Email (searching for keyword(s) in subject/body etc - with full access to headers) with the ability to save the email text on file system.
2. File/Folder Monitor (when a file is added/changed/deleted)
I don't think you can have a scheduler without time triggers
3. Single Date/Time
4. Recurring Date Time (even better if you can get some complex CRON like handling in there)
Then the others that TJ already covered pretty well - HTTP keyword, Event Log, DB value, System Startup/Shutdown.
Also it would nice to have a lightweight "client" that can connect to the scheduler on the server and allow to view progress + change settings. So, it would a good idea if server (service with no GUI) and client (GUI) can connect over the network without being on the same machine. This way more than one person can manage the server and view current job status.
