License Expired - Need Earlier Version

I wasn’t aware the license file I had needed a specific build before date of expiration. I found a FinalBuilder 7 version from before the license expired (Expired 2013, downloaded 2012 build). I uninstalled, installed 2012 build, and it still won’t accept license file despite the date.

Is this because I had a new version installed on the box for a time?

Try manually copying the license file to c:\ProgramData\VSoft\FinalBuilder7 (remove any existing license files in that location. Make sure the build you are installing was built before your subscription expired - you can check the expiration date here (once logged in) :

https://www.finalbuilder.com/store/section/customers?page=subscriptions

Thank you for the reply.

I’ve added the following screenshot so you can understand my problem clearer. The build is from - November 3rd, 2012 - but the license file expires February 2013.

You say I should copy the license file into the FB7 folder, can you tell me what the filename should be? This is a clean install so there is not a license file already. Although a later version was installed that ran out of the trial period (Which is why the request to license is appearing).

There is a bug in older builds of FinalBuilder where it does not validate the license file correctly in that dialog. To work around this, you can manually copy the license file to the correct location, which is

C:\ProgramData\VSoft\FinalBuilder7

The license file name is different for every license key, in your screenshot it appears you already have a license file but it’s in the wrong location.

Thanks. That works beautifully.
