Moving scripts up from version 4 to version 8

Hi - what compatibility issues will we see moving from scripts created in FB4 to the latest?  (yes, i know we should have done it a long time ago!)  I mean can we just open the files and press build?

Also would you recommend Windows 8.1 or Windows 10 for running FB?

Hi Mark,

We have built backwards compatibility into FinalBuilder since day one. You will be able to open your FinalBuilder 4 project in FinalBuilder 8. At this point the conversion to FinalBuilder 8 has occurred and you can save the file as a FinalBuilder 8 project. It is just that simple.

If you do have any issues, they are most like a bug so please let us know ASAP.

FinalBuilder 8 runs well on both Windows 8.1 and Windows 10. Please note however that it is recommended to run FinalBuilder as a user who allows elevation of privileges so that the “Run As” functionality on actions works.
