We currently use FB server and the notification desktop application. Will Continua be able to talk the notification app or with there be a replacement for it?
Hi Jason
The FBServer notification app is not compatible with Continua, we do plan to create a notification app for Continua but it’s still on the todo list.
Will there also be an API?
Because we are using our own written notificatio app in which we added some missing features we are using.
There will be a rest api, it’s still being developed but won’t be ready for v1.0, as soon as it’s done it will be merged into an update. You can use the cruise control CCTray application with continua, however that relies on giving the guest user view access to your configurations.
We will also be developing our own notification application when time permits. What features were you missing from the FBServer notification app?
Posted By Vincent Parrett on 08 Apr 2013 02:03 AMHello, Vincent. It would be fine for me to use a 3rd-party tray notification application like CCTray with Continua.

I suppose I should supply some custom URL to CCTray? Or any other way to tether?
Thank you in advance.
Hi
Unfortunately cctray doesn’t currently work with Continua CI (it used to, but not very well and the functionality was disabled). We’re working on a rest api and once that is ready we’ll provide our own tray application.
Any news/progress on the REST Api and the tray application?
Hi Peter,
The REST API is still being worked on. A lot has been done, but here is still a fair bit to do with validation, testing and documentation. We also plan to include this as part of a v2 release along with some other features which still need to be completed. We can’t give you any timescales as our limited resources are often redirected from feature work to fix bugs and performance issues.
