I’m running Continua 1.7.1.84 and I have a Subversion repository set up to detect and checkout externals as well as the second level of externals. It worked the first time I set it up, but it is no longer checking out the externals when the build runs. I’m not seeing any errors sync-ing the repository and the repository definition hasn’t changed.
Please update to latest build, if that doesn’t help then you will need to enable debug logging on the server and send us the log file :

BTW, if you changed the the settings for externals after creating the repo, you may need to reset the repo (from the admin section) for it to pick up the externals.
Also, which version of subversion client are you using?
