Tab names

This may sound silly, but the tab names “Action Types” and “Action Inspector” are a bit too long - it takes up a lot of space to be able to see all three at once. Or you have to scroll. Perhaps they could be renamed “Actions” (or “New”?) and “Inspector” (or “Properties”?).I find that 1024/768 really isn’t wide enough to see all the tabs, making 1152 the minimum really usable width…Steve

good point. We all develop on 24" 1920 x 1200 screens here, so it looks fine to us  Renaming Action Inspector to Properties makes sense to me - will discuss with the team.

Weird, did the behaviour of newlines in this forum just change? I’m suddenly missing new lines.

Hey Steve, you sure do post a lot of stuff here…My subscriptions email to these boards is smoking up my Exchange server! Ever thought of taking a break

Just be glad I don’t work 5 days a week  Seriously though, I’ll try and cut down. I was going to take a break when I hit 100 posts, but I see I missed it.Steve

Yeah, 3 would be nice. I've only got 2 ... one 24" and one 18"

Hey Steve, I admire your zeal for software improvement. I think your talents lie in software testing. If you ever need to review some helpdesk software, please let me know!

Best regards,

Rod

My last job I had a laptop with a 15" display that did 1600x1200. I always thought it made all those 19" desktop displays that only do 1280x1024 look ridiculas.

Dell has a 30" that does 2560 x 1600 (that's like having 2 1600x1280 monitors in side-by-side portrait mode). I've seen them on discount for about $900. I'm thinking of buying one for my home office, to use as a TV when not on the computer.

I saw an artice one where someone supposedly did a study and found that people with 40" monitors were more productive than people with 20" monitors. I showed it to my manager, but he didn't go for it.

And check out these monitor configurations:
