Variables in Include Projects

Hi there,

we have a project with a Variable named "DC02".

(Let's call this "outer project") Default for DC02 in the outer project is "server/iso/setup"

This Project includes another project witch also has a Variable named "DC02".

(the included project will be named as "inner project") Default for DC02 in the inner project is "server/dll/Assemblyname"

So if I use inside the inner project the Action "Reset Variable to Default" or "Set Varibale" and force there to Defaultvalue,

the defaultvalue of the outer project is beeing used.

I hope I gave enough informations to solve the problem

What is the “Share Host project Variable Namespace” option set to on the Include action? If that is checked then the outer project and the inner project share the same variable namespace. When it’s unchecked the inner project get’s it’s own private variable namespace.

Hi Vincent,

you were right, the “Share Host project Variable Namespace” option was checked.
Now it works fine
Thank you
