This bug is not in FinalBuilder, but it can be solved there.
The old Visual SourceSafe installer (NETSETUP.EXE v. 3.0.0.1210) will say there is an old Visual SourceSafe version in Users…\FinalBuilder\Examples\Visual SourceSafe (I think that was the path perhaps) and suggest to install the newer version there.
I assume this crazy installer is looking for a folder named Visual SourceSafe, without bothering much where it is.
A possible solution might be to change the name of Examples\Visual SourceSafe, to prevent that old installer from doing this.
Or perhaps do nothing, if not enough people is bothered by this.
Ahh… the good old VS 6 installer, I had to unplug a few drives last time I installed in, because it spent about 2hrs searching for an existing install… since it’s in your users folder you can easily rename it… we’ll rename it for the next version (although I’d really like to drop support for VSS, people really shouldn’t be using it these days).
