What is the best solution for the missing user variables in FB8?

I just renewd our license and installed FB8 and tried to convert and run a FB7 project.
this project needed user variables, but i saw that these are not present anymore in FB8. 

What is the best way to not have to alter a lot of FB8 project to add 10 user variables and to do it again when one of these variables change?
its a lot of work and its not a thing that makes me happy.
i hope there is an easy solution

Hi Peter van der Veen,

You can create environment variables on the system for each of the user variables in question. These will then be available to FinalBuilder and all the projects which use them.
