Wrong arguments for FBCMD under Team Foundation Build

Hi,

Under our configuration (Team Foundation 2010 and FinalBuilder 8.0.0.1029) TFS builds fail with this error

Unknown command line option : /B
Unknown command line option : /#CC:\Users\svc.tfsbuilds\AppData\Local\Temp\tmpAED2.tmp
Unknown command line option : /PD:\devspace\Builds\83\SampleProjetc\SampleBuild\SamplePathToFBProject\SampleFBProject.fbx8
Required Option [] was not specified

It sounds like that FBCMD is called as FB 7.x versions

Any Help ?

Hi My CEGI,

We have found the issue with installing FinalBuilder 7 and 8 at the same time. We are currently in the last stage of testing this update and will release it soon. In addition I will publish a blog post with suggestions as to integrating FinalBuilder with TFS.

Hi,

I uninstalled FinalBuilder 7 before moving to version 8 on the build machine.
Today i have updated to 8.0.0.1129. The problem is still there…
Is there any wrokaround ? Some config file or registry setting to change ?

I have posted a blog post on this issue in the last few days. You can find it located here:

The post talks about loading the activities into the TFS Build Controller through a Build Controller repository folder. This will ensure the activities are loaded correctly. It is also advised to no longer install the TFS activities into the GAC (options are given in the installer for those that do not want to make this move just yet).

With there only being one folder allowed for each build controller a choice will need to be made as to which activities to use. Either the FinalBuilder 8 activities (which can run FinalBuilder 7 projects as well, but under FinalBuilder 8) or the FinalBuilder 7 activities. Once setup the issues your experiencing will not longer be present.
