XSLT output with indent="yes" doesnt work

I’ve tried getting the hierarchic structure nice and XML like, when using XSLT in Transform XML by setting the output attribute indent=“yes”.
When I use the exact same code in command prompt, it works like a charm.

I’m actually using this operation to compensate for the missing option to sort by names in the Final Builder Server 7 (maybe this could be fixed?)

Hi Kim,

I have tried to reproduce what I believe your seeing as an issue here, however have been unable to. Would you be able to provide a sample project and required xml/xslt to reproduce this issue. Lastly please including a file of the output you expected to see.

Sending these to support will automatically add them to our issue tracking system so that we can get right onto this.

Thank you.

Hi Jason,

That’s interesting.

I have attached a zip with the contents I’ve used. I short explanation to the files in the order they appear in the zip:

FBUsers.xml - the source file, which contains the correct hierarchic structure, but unsorted.
FBUserSort.xslt My xslt script
FBUsersSorted.xml -My output file when i run SortFBUsers.bat, sorted with an almost perfect hierarchic structure.
msxsl.exe -File needed to use the msxsl command in SortFBUsers.batoutput.xml-My Final Builder output from SortFBUsers.fbp7, sorted but with no indent.SortFBUsers.bat-Command prompt script using msxsl.exe and FBUserSort.xsltSortFBUsers.fbp7 -My Final builder script using FBUserSort.xsltPlease let me know if something is unclear!I’m using Notepad++ to open my .xml files.

Bonus issue: If you look closely, in both output files, the namespace from ArrayOfUser have attached to every user. I can’t seem to find a way to fix this, so if you have a solution I would be very grateful.

Thanks,
Kim

Hi Kim,

As the forums doesn’t allow attachments of this nature. Would you be able to send them through to the support email address and reference this forum post please.

Thanks!

Sorry i didn’t see your post, I just did as you asked!

Kim

Hi Jason,

Have you had a change to look at the issue I posted?

Cheers,

Kim

Hi Kim,

Sorry I was waiting for the support case to be logged with the attached files. I haven’t seen anything come through. Also did another search for this on our support system and can’t seen anything which has been logged. What was the title of the email you sent through to Support? As I am unable to reproduce the indenting issue of the xml using an XSLT transform having the files and project which you have created will be of great assistance.

Hi Jason,

The title of my email was: Attachment for Forum post “XSLT output with indent=“yes” doesnt work”.

The first two lines from my email:

Hi Jason,

Copy from the forum post below, and now with the attachment.

And I’ve sent it to support@finalbuilder.com, with the attachment SortFBUsers.zip.

Do you have another email I can send it to, so we can make sure you get it?

Thanks,

Kim

Hi Kim,

I have searched our support system for that email and it hasn’t arrived. We also have a gmail account listed as the alternative email on the contact us page. Also I would suggest re-sending to support something may have just tripped out on the first attempt.
